Safeguarding

The Trust is committed to ensuring that all children and adults are cared for in a safe and secure environment through a robust culture of safeguarding. To fulfil this commitment, comprehensive safeguarding systems and procedures are in place. These comply with the DfE statutory guidance, Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

Our Culture of Safeguarding

The Trust is clear that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone. This means that everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all staff working in the Trust should make sure their approach is child-centred and consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.

To achieve and sustain this approach, we recognise that the Trust and its schools are an important part of the wider safeguarding system for children and we work with all external partners, both locally and nationally, to promote and ensure children’s safety and protection.
